From Bedside RN to NP Champion
Dr. Kehinde Elisha's journey began like so many of her students — at the bedside. As a registered nurse in acute care, she discovered that her greatest joy was not just caring for patients, but teaching the nurses around her. Colleagues sought her out for explanations, study tips, and encouragement before their own exams.
That natural gift for teaching led her to pursue her Master of Science in Nursing and later her Doctor of Nursing Practice. But she never lost the perspective of the student. She remembers the anxiety, the late-night study sessions, and the overwhelming feeling of "I will never remember all of this."
In 2021, she founded NP Certification Academy with one mission: to ensure that no nurse practitioner candidate walks into their board exam feeling unprepared. She built the program around the one thing that was missing from every other review course she had seen — a human connection.
Today, Dr. K has mentored over 500 students across 48 states. Her students do not just pass. They thrive. They enter practice with confidence, clinical judgment, and the critical thinking skills that set them apart from day one.
